This is the basic lighting for the “Zero Gravity Fight”, a commission based on the RPG “Eclipse Phase”. It’s still missing cast shadows, but now we proceed to the line work for the background. It’s tons of fun.
Slowly but surely, the image starts to come together. It’s getting close to the end now, but there’s still a ton of little details to work on and adjust here or there. Still, here’s what we’ve got so far.
This is the first pass on the shading for this image. There’s still a LOT of extra light sources to add in, and after that colors and details and such. But with this, we’ve taken a huge step forward! Yay!
As work continued on the “Zero G fight” commissioned image, we realized that the characters were placed in the wrong sides of the image. Basically, the characters that look like cheap robots (because they are, pretty much, cheap synthetics) should be coming from the tunnel while the people fighting them should be fighting them off. […]
