I’m not sure if this is the largest, or the second largest image I’ve ever worked on – but it sure is damn large! Based on Warhammer 40K, this image depicts a battle between the incredibly awesome Sister of Battle and a Lord of Change, a demon of Tzeentch, supported by Alpha Legion. This image […]
This image is a commission based on a novel called “Razorwing’s Ballad”, which is currently being written. It’s basically rock-fantasy-opera, which is as wild and unique as it sounds. It’s been a very fun image to work on, and very different from anything I’ve ever done before. Here we’ve got the basic lighting, and from […]
I’m back! Sorry I’ve been so absent, but I’ve simply been working on 3 huge commissions – and well… that’s it. So, now that finishing these commissions is getting closer, I can start to show progress on them. This image is inspired by Warhammer 40K, and it depicts a Sister of Battle and her Sister Repentias […]
This image was a blast to make – since I always enjoy working with scenery, perspective and excessive details more than anything else. It’s a view of the Blacksmith sector in the city of Vögelsang, inspired by an RPG setting. The right we can also see the meat market. Below you’ll find a gallery with the […]
This is a portrait of the Ubrencht family. From left to right: Dario, Reinhardt, Nick and Ernst. They’re a family of characters from a “post-post-apocalyptic superhero setting”. Designing these characters was really interesting and challenging, since they mostly look like regular people, but have fascinating superpowers. I specially enjoyed designing the tattoos, for which I took […]
Quite possibly the largest and most complicated image I have been commissioned to produce (up until now), this sci-fi zero gravity fight scene based on the Eclipse Phase RPG has been both fun and challenging. This is just the first shading pass, so it’s still missing a lot in the regard, and all that before color. […]
This is the basic lighting for the “Zero Gravity Fight”, a commission based on the RPG “Eclipse Phase”. It’s still missing cast shadows, but now we proceed to the line work for the background. It’s tons of fun.
Slowly but surely, the image starts to come together. It’s getting close to the end now, but there’s still a ton of little details to work on and adjust here or there. Still, here’s what we’ve got so far.
This is the first pass on the shading for this image. There’s still a LOT of extra light sources to add in, and after that colors and details and such. But with this, we’ve taken a huge step forward! Yay!
