One of the things I’m aiming for with this commission is to get the perfect pose for the character. In these new sketches, we swapped out the pedestrians for an actual villain, and then explored a bit with different ways that the character could be emerging from the wall. We’ll see what works.
I’ve updated the COMMISSIONS LINE-UP page… yeah… sorry I had sort of forgotten to update it lately. I’ll try to keep up with it more.
It’s a really big commission, so progress comes to this image one Pokemon at a time. I’ve had a lot of fun so far playing with the different visual aspects of each monster that the animation or games don’t really play with. Like the fur on Lucario, or Darmanitan’s fire brows… plus I just loved trying […]
Ok, so let’s continue with our adventure… You walk down the narrow path and stairs that were carved into the cliff walls upon which Lusus Mansion was built. This was a path intended for the servants to have a way to enter the mansion without having to use the main entrance, since Lord Lusus […]
Personally, I love rough sketching. So today I’m working on several images. These first two rough sketches are for the commission of Morbid Angel, a character from the Marvel Super Heroes RPG that has the power of “teleformation”. What it is is that he basically teleports but instead of his body actually going from one […]
Work continues on this “Pokemon Battle Champion” commission, as I work on each character, one by one. It’s a slow process, but I’ve come to enjoy each of them in their own uniqueness. Darmanitan’s fire eyebrows were tons of fun, and Lucario kind of reminds me of Starfox… in a way. Personally, I can’t wait to […]
So, we start with our approach to Lusus Mansion, and this brings us to our very first decision. It’s a simple one. Lusus mansion is a large structure built on the edge of a cliff. There are some stone stairs that lead up to the mansion’s main door. It’s boarded shut, but doesn’t look like it would […]
This image, commissioned as a gift (so I’ll keep the client’s name to not risk ruining any surprises) had two of the things I like drawing the most: vegetation and water. Of course, I also enjoyed adding the Nymph and the Hare. I mean, how could I not when working on this commission I came up with […]
So this image, commissioned by Atrus, was quite interesting to work on, mostly because of how different the character is to what you normally see in a RPG. Instead of a heavy-handed male/human/fighter or mysterious mage, Andalib is a sleek, astute bard that works in a pleasure house. That, plus the middle-eastern influences and overall […]
