The Ministry of Abnormality – Book 1, Pgs. 1-9

It is with extreme pleasure (and great nervousness) that I share with you all the first 9 pages of my new webcomic THE MINISTRY OF ABNORMALITY, a story about a secret government organization in charge of the supernatural. I’ve been working on it for a couple of months, now, but I didn’t want to show it until I actually had a few pages to show.

The comic is supported through Patreon (, where the different levels will get you extra stuff going from larger versions of the comic to behind-the-scenes looks at the process of making each page. I even have an extra book (a bestiary) planned for it. So check it out, because your support will go a long way to helping me continue making the comic. Other plans for the comic include a wiki, with information regarding all the characters and parts of the world I’m building – and I guess we’ll have to see where it all takes us from there!

Also, I draw the comic live every weekday on my Twitch channel (, so if you’d like to actually see me working on the comic and maybe even chat with me as I do so, well that’s a thing, too!

So check it out, feel free to let me know what you think. I hope you enjoy it as much as I’m enjoying making it.

NOTE: Oh, and if you’re familiar with my work from before, then you know there’s always a ninja – on every page.

  1. Been away for awhile, but this was a delightful treat to see. Many thanks good sir!

-reads pages, then notices note at the bottom-

    Well played sir, well played.

  2. Sooo… is this the page to post comments now? Or are there specific sub pages once the comic updates?

Also, I can’t for the life of me find the ninja in some of the pages (especially during the interview). I even tried looking in the panel borders and scarf patterns. Oh well…

    1. Oh you can post comments anywhere you like! Here, social media, the Patreon page. I don’t think it would be right to make comments for subscribers-only.

As for the ninja, though, I have to admit a lot of the ninja would only be seen in a larger-sized image (like the ones in the pages you just mentioned), which is, actually, one of the subscriber perks.

I’ll try to make all images a bit larger from now on.

  3. Looks like yet another project that never left the bog of high potential and little prospect.

I like your artwork O, and I really hope that this next hiatus in the history of so many is because you found either love and happiness or a properly payed job. Please don’t start a webcomic again until you’ve teamed up with a good script writer and have a storyboard ready for awhole comic.

Trust me, I don’t say this to ease my frustration but hopefully yours.. And remember, if you finish a project every once in a while your readers will keep coming back and you might actually make some money out of this.
